Are Discount Indoor Tanning Bed Lotions Just as Good?

The one thing you can definitely expect from discount indoor tanning bed lotions are savings. If you're running a tanning salon, you'll want to make as much savings as possible. You can do this by getting discounts on consumable items that you'll be using quite often, such as tanning bed lotions, and replaceable items such as light bulbs and celluloid sheets.

One thing that many people want to know about discount indoor tanning bed lotions, however, is: are they just as good as lotions that are bought at full price? Or is something sacrificed whenever you buy skin protection items at a lower cost?

You need a reliable tanning lotion if you want to get a safe, even tan. It's not enough to just let the ultraviolet light wash over the surface of your skin and burn it into a healthier, darker color - a good lotion would help spread the effects of the light evenly on your skin. But more important, it helps prevent the harmful radiation from seeping into your pores, causing sunburn, if not skin disease.

Tanning lotions are important not only to people who own tanning salons. They are a staple for regular beachgoers, as well as people who own home-grade tanning implements, such as standard clamshell-type beds, vertical beds and lamps. People need lotion for a variety of tanning needs. This is why lotions will always be in demand.

Do cheaper tanning lotions run the risk of being inferior to lotions bought at full price? Not necessarily. In fact, as long as you get a lotion that is still far from its expiry date, and imbued with the right SPF protection (the SPF number of the lotion should be clearly visible on the bottle), you can expect the same amount of protection from your more affordable solution.

You must take care to purchase a solution that is suited to the strength of the UV light to which you will be exposed. Different tanning beds, which use different light bulb strengths, would require you to use stronger tanning lotions, with higher SPF values. High-pressure beds, whose lamps use more UVA than UVB light, are quite rare and significantly more expensive than regular tanning beds.

Of course, the higher the SPF value of a lotion is, the more expensive it often is also. It may not be convenient to keep buying high-SPF lotions at full price. If you can get high-SPF discount indoor tanning bed lotions for your high-radiation beds and tanning implements, you can look forward to getting optimum tan at an optimum cost.
